Calathea Medallion, Peacock Plant

The Calathea Medallion, Peacock Plant is an eye-catching houseplant with unique foliage. Its broad green leaves are decorated with contrasting dark green and pale green stripes, and bright pink edges. Its robust, fast-growing nature makes it a great addition to any home.

Calathea has distinctive, ornamental leaves with bright green zebra-like stripes on a velvety dark green background. Leaf undersides are a reddish-purple colour. This eye-catching Calathea will add a bold, colourful and highly decorative element to your houseplant collection.

The Calathea also known by the name ‘Zebra Plant’ نبات زيبرا , ‘Peacock Plant’, or ‘Rattlesnack Plant’ because of its leaf markings. Displaying lush velvety oval shaped leaves, very similar in shape and size as the Rose painted calathea although usually longer and thinner in width. 

This Peacock Plant is also easy to maintain, requiring only weekly watering and some light fertilizing to stay healthy.
